Role Overview Tesco is seeking a Lead to oversee financial accounting, statutory compliance, and group reporting at our Bengaluru campus. In this hybrid role, you will maintain the books of accounts, lead diverse audits, and drive continuous improvement projects. Key Responsibilities - Maintain the statutory accounts and close financial accounting modules on time. - Prepare balance sheet schedules and vital journal entries on a monthly basis. - Facilitate and close statutory, internal, tax, and transfer pricing audits. - Ensure STPI, Income Tax, and FEMA compliances are strictly met. - Manage fixed assets verification, reconciliations, and cash utilization tracking. - File statutory returns including APR and eTDS, and handle inter-company billing. - Lead, mentor, and train team members while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. Required Qualifications - Conceptual knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS/IAS). - In-depth understanding of tax regulations and tax authority compliance requirements. - Strong stakeholder management and professional presentation capabilities. - Solid understanding of key finance controls and company accounting policies. - Analytical mindset with logical reasoning for complex financial reporting.
