IT Application Owner (AVP)

Role Overview Deutsche Bank is seeking a highly skilled IT Application Owner (ITAO) at the Assistant Vice President (AVP) level to lead IT risk management and compliance for critical asset management business applications based in Bengaluru. In this senior role, you will oversee applications transitioning to the cloud, ensuring absolute compliance with security policies, Identity & Access Management (IAM) lifecycle regulations, and SDLC controls. You will act as the key liaison between developers, security specialists, and infrastructure teams to maintain operational readiness, support audits, and drive incident reduction. Key Responsibilities - Oversee the IT risk management, safety, security, and lifecycle compliance of assigned business applications - Track application control status and support development teams with cloud migration and compliance advice - Ensure Identity & Access Management (IAM) processes (onboarding, recertification, and offboarding) are aligned with bank policies - Monitor critical application activities, review logs, and manage regular Disaster Recovery (DR) testing and capacity planning - Coordinate and support audit functions in remediating audit points and self-identified risk issues - Provide technical guidance on infrastructure compliance, patches, upgrades, and application decommissioning Required Qualifications - Minimum 10-15 years of experience in IT, with exposure to asset management systems and IT risk management - Strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies, IT policies, and frameworks (ISO27001, NIST, OWASP) - Proven experience with Identity & Access Management tools and processes - Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder management, and cross-functional communication skills - Degree-level IT and/or information security qualification, or equivalent experience Why Join Us Deutsche Bank offers a global, inclusive environment with a focus on continuous learning and career progression. - 10-15 years of IT experience, preferably in Asset Management Business Applications and Processes - Strong experience in IT Risk Management, Identity & Access Management (onboarding, recertification, offboarding) and SDLC process controls - Experience with cloud migration and cloud environments (GCP knowledge is a plus) - Knowledge of Information Security standards and frameworks (NIST, ENISA, ISO27001, OWASP) - Proven problem-solving, analytical, and technical communication skills - Degree-level IT and/or Information Security qualification or equivalent experience
