Head of Operations – IT, Digital Marketing & Software Services

Role Overview Z Ventures is looking for a seasoned technology leader to take on the role of Head of Operations, overseeing Digital Marketing, Graphic Services, and Software Engineering functions. Key Responsibilities The Head of Operations will be responsible for crafting and executing a cohesive IT strategy that supports digital and software services while aligning with broader business objectives. You will lead end-to-end software development and delivery cycles using Agile and DevOps frameworks, oversee application architecture, code quality standards, and QA processes, and ensure timely deployment of internal tools and client projects. On the operations side, you will implement ITIL-based service management practices, govern incident and change management workflows, and maintain SLA compliance for internal stakeholders and external clients alike. Cybersecurity and compliance will be central to your mandate—you will be expected to build robust security frameworks, drive adherence to standards such as ISO 27001 and GDPR, and conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability audits. You will lead cross-functional teams spanning infrastructure, networking, DevOps, software development, QA, digital marketing, graphic design, and process automation. Building, mentoring, and retaining top technical talent will be a key part of your success in this role. You will also manage vendor relationships and technology partnerships, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with senior business leaders and external stakeholders to align technology investments with company priorities. Driving the adoption of cloud technologies, AI-powered tools, and automation to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs will be an ongoing expectation. Required Qualifications A strong background in both infrastructure management and software delivery is essential. You should bring hands-on expertise in cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps toolchains, combined with deep knowledge of enterprise architecture, system integration, and cybersecurity frameworks. Proven leadership experience managing large cross-functional teams, along with the ability to balance operational stability with strategic innovation, is critical for this role. Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline 10 to 18 or more years of overall IT experience spanning infrastructure and software delivery 5 to 8 or more years in senior leadership or head-of-function roles Strong expertise in digital marketing technologies and software engineering practices Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP Proficiency in DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipeline management Solid understanding of enterprise architecture and large-scale system integration Experience implementing ITIL-based IT service management frameworks Proven ability to establish cybersecurity frameworks and manage compliance with standards like ISO 27001 and GDPR Demonstrated experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and stakeholder engagement Strong leadership, mentoring, and talent development capabilities Ability to define and track KPIs and OKRs across engineering and operations teams Experience leading digital transformation programmes including automation and AI adoption
