Location - Bandra Kurla Complex. We are looking for Mumbai based candidates for this position.

Working Days - Monday to Friday from Office.

We are looking for a Finance Assistant to perform daily accounting tasks that will support our financial team. The responsibilities include managing expense reports and reimbursements, entering financial transactions into our internal databases and reconciling invoices. If you have an accounting / finance degree and are interested in gaining experience in bookkeeping procedures, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will help our accounting department run smoothly, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions.

Responsibilities

• Handling Petty cash
• Hands on experience with MS-Excel
• Excellent spoken & written communication skills
• Petty cash management
• Assisting in day-to day accounting duties
• Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
• Create and update expense reports
• Process reimbursement forms
• Prepare bank deposits
• Enter financial transactions into internal databases
• Check spreadsheets for accuracy
• Maintain digital and physical financial records
• Issue invoices to customers and external partners, as needed
• Review and file payroll documents
• Participate in quarterly and annual audits

• Understand and apply basic accounting principles relating to accounts payable

• Process purchase orders

• Ensures accounts payable invoices are accurate, properly coded and authorized for payment.

• Ensures completeness and accuracy of all accounts payable databases and files, including monthly, periodic and annual reconciliation of control accounts

• Ensures accurate processing to accounts in compliance with appropriate policies and procedures with correct application of taxes.

• Liaise with other departments / Customers / Vendors

• File, organize and maintain files

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in accounting / finance
• Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
• Familiarity with finance regulations
• Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
• Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
• Organization skills
• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
• BCOM / MCOM in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
