Job Description
Job Title: Electronic Technician Department: Engineering/Maintenance Location: IIT Kanpur Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Electronic Technician with an ITI or Diploma in Electronics to support the installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic systems and components. The role involves working on a variety of electronic equipment, ensuring operational efficiency, and supporting technical teams in development and repair tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble, install, test, and maintain electronic systems, components, and circuitry. Diagnose and repair electronic devices, including PCB components and embedded systems. Read and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, and manuals to support troubleshooting. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electronic equipment. Assist in developing and improving electronic circuits for automation and industrial applications. Work with various sensors, microcontrollers, and actuators to support electronic projects. Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to ensure compliance with industry standards. Maintain documentation of tests, repairs, and maintenance procedures. Ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry best practices during operations.

ITI / Diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Hands-on
experience
with soldering, wiring, PCB assembly, and circuit troubleshooting. Familiarity with microcontrollers (Arduous, Raspberry Pi, FPGA) and embedded systems. Knowledge of electronic measuring instruments (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analysers).Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams and technical documentation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Basic programming
skills
(C, Python) for embedded electronics (preferred).Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Experience:1-3 years of
experience
in electronic assembly, repair, or maintenance. Additional

Willingness to travel or work in field operations if required. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
