Domain Architect L2 - Refinery Domain

Role Overview Wipro is looking for a seasoned Domain Architect L2 with deep expertise in Refinery Domain Architecture to join its growing enterprise technology practice in Bengaluru. In this senior role, you will be recognized as a subject matter expert responsible for shaping the target architecture and defining the technology roadmap for your business domain. You will work closely with IT leaders, enterprise architects, and business stakeholders to translate strategy into executable architectural blueprints that drive measurable outcomes. Key Responsibilities - Develop and maintain enterprise-wide domain architecture deliverables including enabling, diagnostic, and actionable assets aligned to the target audience - Define and own the technology roadmap for your domain, ensuring continuous alignment with the overall business strategy and enterprise architecture standards - Lead the end-to-end solution lifecycle from concept and feasibility through design, prototyping, and production delivery - Establish domain-specific standards, near-term and mid-term strategies, and roadmaps in adherence to enterprise guidelines - Apply architectural and engineering concepts to design scalable, secure, maintainable, and highly available solutions - Oversee product and platform engineering, protocol map development, and virtualization based on business solution needs - Partner with IT and line-of-business groups to develop long-range system plans and ensure alignment of IT products and services with business needs - Define high-level migration plans bridging the gap between current and future-state architectures - Provide technology consulting to solution architects and junior staff working across multiple domain technologies - Create and respond to RFPs by articulating architectural targets, reusable patterns, and investment roadmaps - Collaborate with sales and delivery leadership to identify future business requirements and propose investment roadmaps - Lead proof-of-concept and prototype efforts when introducing new technologies, in partnership with product owners and delivery teams - Identify technical, process, and structural risks and prepare comprehensive risk mitigation plans - Leverage Agile and DevOps principles to bring automation into application development and reduce manual effort - Build trusted relationships with executives, technical leads, peer architects, and key stakeholders across the organization Required Qualifications - Over 10 years of experience in Refinery Domain Architecture or a closely related enterprise architecture discipline - Strong command of enterprise architecture frameworks, technology roadmap development, and domain-specific standards - Proven ability to guide solutions from concept to delivery in complex, large-scale IT environments - Hands-on experience with cloud-based infrastructure, virtualization, digital transformation, and scalable system design - Demonstrated expertise in Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, quality assurance, and risk mitigation - Experience creating and responding to RFPs and engaging with OEMs, enterprise architects, and technical leads - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to present and defend architectural recommendations at the executive level - Any graduate degree required; postgraduate qualification preferred Why Join Us Wipro is building a modern, purpose-driven enterprise at the forefront of end-to-end digital transformation, and this role places you at the heart of that mission. - 10 or more years of experience in Refinery Domain Architecting - Strong expertise in enterprise architecture and technology roadmap development - Experience with cloud-based and scalable infrastructure design - Proficiency in Agile and DevOps principles - Hands-on experience with virtualization and platform engineering - Ability to lead proof-of-concept and prototype initiatives - Strong skills in risk identification and mitigation planning - Experience creating and responding to client RFPs - Excellent stakeholder management and technical leadership abilities - Knowledge of SLA and KPI definition and tracking - Background in digital transformation and automation - Any graduate degree; postgraduate qualification preferred
