Domain Architect L1 - Technical Consulting and Enterprise Architecture

Role Overview Wipro is looking for an experienced Domain Architect L1 to take ownership of enterprise-wide architecture development and define the technology roadmap for a specific business domain. The ideal candidate will serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor, guiding both technical teams and business stakeholders toward aligned, future-ready IT solutions. This is a full-time permanent role based out of Bengaluru for professionals with 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in technical consulting and enterprise architecture. Key Responsibilities - Develop architectural solutions for new business deals and major change requests in existing engagements - Create and maintain enterprise-wide architecture deliverables including enabling, diagnostic, and actionable outputs tailored to business needs - Define and evolve technology roadmaps for the domain, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy and enterprise standards - Guide solutions from concept through to production delivery, applying principles of scalability, security, reliability, maintainability, and flexibility - Lead research and development efforts such as proof-of-concept initiatives and prototype development when introducing new technologies - Collaborate with enterprise architects, OEMs, and technical leads to define and validate business solutions and complete RFPs - Identify technology trends and assess their potential impact on enterprise architecture and long-term planning - Establish domain-specific standards, near- and mid-term strategies, and roadmaps in alignment with enterprise-level direction - Provide technical consulting and mentorship to solution architects and junior staff working across multiple domain technologies - Define high-level migration plans to bridge gaps between current and target state architectures - Recommend tools and frameworks for automation, reuse, and productivity improvement to reduce cycle times - Ensure all developed solutions adhere to enterprise architecture standards and meet defined financial and quality targets - Serve as technical owner for domain-specific solutions and build trusted relationships with executives, product owners, and delivery teams - Apply Agile and DevOps principles to reduce manual processes and bring automation into application development Required Qualifications - Any graduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline - 8 to 10 years of experience in technical consulting with a strong focus on enterprise architecture - Proven expertise in automation, virtualization, digital transformation, and cloud-based infrastructure - Strong understanding of architectural frameworks, business capability models, and value chain analysis - Experience working with enterprise architects, OEMs, and cross-functional stakeholders on large-scale technology programs - Demonstrated ability to develop and present technology roadmaps and investment proposals to senior leadership - Hands-on experience with Agile delivery models and DevOps practices - Strong knowledge of risk identification and mitigation planning within complex technology environments - Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate architectural recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences Why Join Us Wipro is building a modern, purpose-driven organization committed to end-to-end digital transformation, and this role places you at the center of that ambition.
