DevOps Engineer Principal

Role Overview Sagent is seeking a highly experienced DevOps Engineer Principal to take a leadership role in shaping and executing the company's cloud strategy. This is a senior-level opportunity for a cloud architect who is passionate about designing complex, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions. You will work at the intersection of technology and business strategy, helping Sagent fulfil its mission of making homeownership and loan servicing simpler and safer for consumers across the United States. Key Responsibilities - Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and continuously refine the organisation's cloud strategy in alignment with business objectives - Design robust, scalable, and highly available cloud architectures on GCP and Azure platforms that meet security, compliance, and performance standards - Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the cloud engineering team, guiding them in Kubernetes and container orchestration using Helm - Implement cloud solutions hands-on, covering infrastructure setup, configuration management, and troubleshooting - Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and integrate cloud components with cross-functional teams - Monitor and continuously optimise cloud infrastructure for performance, cost efficiency, and scalability - Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud architecture, configurations, and operational processes - Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and partners Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 6 to 10 or more years of relevant experience, or 8 to 10 or more years of relevant experience without a degree - Extensive hands-on experience with GCP, Azure, Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE), Helm, and Docker containerisation - Deep understanding of DevOps and GitOps best practices and modern SDLC paradigms including Agile methodologies - Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform - Working experience with HashiCorp Vault - Strong knowledge of networking concepts, infrastructure automation, and configuration management tools - Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills with proven experience leading cross-functional teams Why Join Us Sagent is a fintech innovator born from the combined expertise of Fiserv and Warburg Pincus, and is rapidly transforming the mortgage servicing industry with modern, consumer-first technology.
