Developer - Security Platform and Data Engineering

Role Overview Arctic Wolf is a globally recognised cybersecurity company on a mission to End Cyber Risk. As a Developer joining the security platform team in Bengaluru, you will play a key role in building and scaling a distributed security operations platform that ingests and processes over 250 billion events every single day. This is a high-impact engineering role where your work directly contributes to protecting thousands of organisations worldwide through real-time threat detection and analysis. Key Responsibilities - Design and build scalable microservices, MCP tools, and analytics services that power the security platform - Understand complex datasets, schemas, and business semantics to create accurate and reliable data solutions - Design and optimise data retrieval, query execution, enrichment pipelines, and analysis workflows - Develop integrations with enterprise platforms including Databricks, OpenSearch, and PostgreSQL - Translate business and analytical requirements into robust, scalable technical architectures - Optimise SQL queries, data models, and data access patterns for performance and reliability - Ensure services are reliable, secure, scalable, and observable in production environments - Deploy containerised services using CI/CD practices aligned with Infrastructure-as-Code principles - Mentor junior developers through code reviews and technical discussions - Collaborate closely with Product, Security, and Data Engineering teams to define technical direction Required Qualifications - 3 to 5 years of hands-on software development experience - Strong proficiency in Python and SQL - Proven experience working with datasets, schemas, data relationships, and business semantics - Experience building microservices and distributed systems - Background developing data-intensive services, platform integrations, or analytics applications - Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD workflows - Experience building or integrating MCP tools, AI-powered applications, or natural language interfaces - Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving capabilities - Exposure to Databricks, OpenSearch, Spark, Snowflake, or PostgreSQL is an added advantage - Experience with LLMs, tool calling, retrieval systems, or conversational analytics is a plus Why Join Us Arctic Wolf is a Top Workplace recognised by Forbes, Fortune, CNBC, and Great Place to Work across multiple countries, and offers a culture that values bold ideas, diversity, and meaningful impact. - 3 to 5 years of software development experience - Strong Python and SQL programming skills - Experience with microservices and distributed systems architecture - Hands-on knowledge of AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code - Familiarity with data-intensive platforms such as Databricks, OpenSearch, or PostgreSQL - Experience building or integrating MCP tools or AI-powered applications - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - Exposure to LLMs, retrieval systems, or conversational analytics is a plus - Experience in cybersecurity, observability, or enterprise software is preferred
