Job Description

Role Overview Tesla is looking for a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join its IT Operations team in Bengaluru. You will serve as a key frontline support professional for Teslas global IT infrastructure, handling endpoint troubleshooting, system installations, and day-to-day IT operations. The ideal candidate brings a genuine enthusiasm for technology and customer service and can thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced corporate environment. Key Responsibilities - Deliver end-to-end technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, AV systems, and telephones via phone, ticketing system, and on-site as needed - Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and general network issues for Windows and macOS environments - Provide timely resolution of end-user incidents in accordance with defined SLAs - Support remote personnel with connectivity, VPN, wireless LAN, DSL, and cable services - Handle basic administration of phone systems and VOIP hardware and software - Manage endpoint provisioning using tools such as MS SCCM or Jamf - Assist with Active Directory, Office 365, Windows Server, and backup administration - Configure and troubleshoot POS systems, kiosk applications, and AV equipment including projectors, amplifiers, and control panels - Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 support coverage on weekdays and weekends - Organize workload effectively and follow escalation procedures as per company guidelines Required Qualifications - Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems and associated hardware - Hands-on experience with VOIP systems such as Avaya or equivalent platforms - Proficiency with ticket-based incident management systems - Working knowledge of IP networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, and wired and wireless troubleshooting - Experience with computer imaging tools such as MS SCCM or Jamf - Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, and Windows Server environments - Strong verbal and written communication skills in English - Excellent customer service orientation with strong attention to detail and follow-up - General understanding of server computing, storage, virtualisation, and business applications Why Join Us Tesla offers a unique opportunity to be part of a globally recognised technology and clean energy brand where your work directly supports mission-critical operations. Requirements
