Data Engineer

Role Overview APEXX Global is a leading Fintech company specialising in payment orchestration technology. We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our expanding technology team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will be central to designing, building, and maintaining the data infrastructure that drives real-time analytics, trusted insights, and data-driven decision-making across the organisation. Key Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain scalable batch and streaming data pipelines with high fault tolerance and performance - Implement, monitor, and manage ETL processes to consolidate data from multiple sources - Write clean, testable Python and PySpark code following object-oriented principles and unit testing standards - Develop and manage databases and data warehouses including Snowflake, PostgreSQL RDS, and Aurora, optimising performance and storage - Ensure data quality, integrity, reliability, and adherence to data security best practices - Collaborate with data analysts, product teams, and business stakeholders to gather and fulfil data requirements - Partner with Customer Support and Relationship Management teams to resolve data-related queries - Integrate data solutions into the broader engineering architecture in an agile environment Required Qualifications - 3 to 7 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering - Strong SQL skills and proficiency with relational databases such as Snowflake, PostgreSQL, or MySQL - Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL workflows using tools such as AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, AWS EMR, Talend, or Azure Data Factory - Strong Python development skills including experience with AWS SDKs such as Boto3 - Proven experience working with cloud platforms and data services, preferably AWS - Solid understanding of data warehousing, distributed data processing, and modern data architecture principles - Experience in the Fintech, payments, or financial services industry is a plus - Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for building reliable, scalable data solutions Why Join Us At APEXX Global, you will be part of a high-trust, collaborative, and high-performing culture where innovation is at the forefront of everything we do. - 3 to 7 years of Data Engineering experience - Strong SQL skills with Snowflake, PostgreSQL, or MySQL - Experience with ETL tools such as AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, AWS EMR, or Azure Data Factory - Proficiency in Python and PySpark with object-oriented programming principles - Hands-on experience with AWS SDKs including Boto3 - Knowledge of data warehousing and distributed data processing concepts - Familiarity with cloud platforms especially AWS - Experience in Fintech or financial services is advantageous
