Data Engineer

We are looking for a passionate Data Engineer to join our Bengaluru team and contribute to next-generation industrial data solutions that drive measurable business impact for our clients worldwide. Key Responsibilities - Lead the design and implementation of scalable and efficient data engineering solutions using Cognite Data Fusion - Drive integrations, extractions, data modeling, and analysis using Cognite data connectors, SQL, Python or Java, and REST APIs - Build custom data models for data discovery, mapping, and cleansing - Collaborate with data scientists, solution architects, and project managers to deliver end-to-end industrial dataops solutions - Perform code reviews and enforce best practices to maintain high-quality, production-grade deliverables - Support customers and partners in executing data engineering tasks using Cognite products - Contribute to the development of Cognite's official tools and SDKs - Work with Engineering and Product Management teams to translate customer requirements into product roadmap priorities Required Qualifications - Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience - Minimum 3 years of experience in a customer-facing, data-intensive role - Proven experience delivering production-grade data pipelines using Python, SQL, and REST APIs - Hands-on experience with distributed computing platforms such as Kubernetes and managed cloud services including GCP or Azure - Strong DevOps mindset with experience in Git, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment environments - Domain knowledge in oil and gas or manufacturing data sources is an advantage - Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to work collaboratively across teams Why Join Us At Cognite, you will work alongside world-class engineers and industry experts on bold, high-impact challenges with a moonshot goal of unlocking 100 billion dollars in customer value by 2035.
