Consulting Analyst - Healthcare Technology Product Owner

Role Overview Cognizant is hiring a Consulting Analyst to serve as a Healthcare Technology Product Owner for a full-time, permanent role based in Chennai. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in healthcare technology platforms, data and analytics, and AI-enabled solutions. The role demands the ability to navigate complex, regulated healthcare environments while driving impactful product strategies that improve clinical outcomes and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities - Lead the healthcare product strategy, roadmap, and prioritisation by balancing clinical impact, operational value, technical feasibility, and risk - Translate complex clinical and operational workflows for payer, provider, and care management contexts into scalable, technology-driven solutions - Own the end-to-end product roadmap covering core healthcare capabilities, data and interoperability foundations, and AI and analytics enablement - Partner closely with data engineering, analytics, and AI teams to enable reliable healthcare reporting, decision support, and workflow automation - Define requirements for operational and clinical dashboards, quality and efficiency KPIs, and AI-assisted summarisation and prioritisation tools - Manage agile or SAFe delivery cycles with strong emphasis on dependency tracking, release readiness, and stakeholder adoption - Guide AI initiatives from pilot through production to scaled deployment, ensuring responsible AI practices, explainability, and regulatory compliance - Evaluate build versus buy versus reuse decisions within healthcare technology constraints, including legacy system integration and technical debt management - Serve as a trusted communication partner for business, clinical, and operations leaders, clearly articulating trade-offs, risks, and value outcomes Required Qualifications - 5 or more years of experience in technology product or platform product roles with a strong focus on healthcare technology delivery - Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare domains including Utilisation Management, Care Management, Case Management, and Prior Authorisation - Hands-on experience working in regulated environments with compliance requirements such as HIPAA and PHI data handling - Working understanding of healthcare data domains including member, provider, clinical, authorisation, and outcomes data flows - Familiarity with modern technology architectures such as APIs, microservices, cloud platforms, and healthcare interoperability layers - Experience defining AI use cases in healthcare settings including clinical summarisation, decision support, and workflow automation - Strong background in agile delivery methodologies including SAFe, with expertise in release planning and risk management - Any graduate degree is acceptable; healthcare or technology domain certifications are an added advantage Why Join Us Cognizant is a globally recognised IT services and consulting leader where you will have the opportunity to work on transformative healthcare technology initiatives that directly impact patient care and operational efficiency.
