Commercial Finance Specialist

Role Overview Philips is seeking a Commercial Finance Specialist to join our global finance hub in Bengaluru. In this key role, you will evaluate credit applications, manage a complex account portfolio, and implement accounts receivable process improvements to optimize cash flow. Key Responsibilities - Evaluate credit and collection applications by gathering and analyzing financial information. - Provide guidance to team members to ensure compliance with financial policies and guidelines. - Manage a large account portfolio, building strong client relationships to resolve past-due balances. - Investigate and resolve unapplied cash and unreconciled cash items with collection teams. - Lead lean process improvements in accounts receivable to ensure high-quality master data. - Validate customer creditworthiness, set credit limits, and implement credit insurance strategies. - Manage credit risk committee presentations and oversee SOX and ICS compliance in commercial areas. - Partner with sales and marketing to evaluate pricing strategies and customer profitability. Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or an equivalent professional qualification (CA, CMA, or MBA preferred). - Minimum of five years of post-qualification experience, with at least three years in commercial finance. - Strong knowledge of credit risk management, collections, and financial valuation methods. - Proven experience in SOX control compliance and internal control frameworks. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to influence cross-functional teams.
