Business Finance FP&A Analyst

Role Overview Cognizant is looking for experienced Business Finance and FP&A professionals to join its Finance team across Hyderabad, Gurugram, and Chennai. This is a strategic role that places you at the intersection of finance and business decision-making, giving you full ownership of P&L and the opportunity to influence revenue growth and profitability at scale. You will work directly with senior business leaders as a trusted finance partner across a dynamic, multi-currency IT services environment. Key Responsibilities - Partner with business leaders to deliver financial insights that drive strategic decisions across the organization - Lead the annual budgeting cycle, monthly forecasting rounds, and long-range financial planning activities - Conduct detailed variance analysis and prepare financial bridges explaining deviations from budget, forecast, and prior periods - Collaborate with Business Unit Heads to assess performance, identify key drivers, and recommend corrective measures - Drive pricing analysis, commercial deal evaluations, profitability assessments, and support contract renewals and negotiations - Monitor billing, unbilled revenue, and ensure adherence to revenue recognition principles - Take end-to-end ownership of the Profit and Loss statement and lead initiatives to improve margins and operational efficiency - Analyze large, complex datasets to generate actionable insights for management and business stakeholders - Identify and implement process improvement and automation opportunities in partnership with IT and cross-functional teams - Manage financial operations across multiple currencies and evaluate foreign exchange impacts on business performance - Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, management decks, and business review materials - Lead, mentor, and manage a team of finance professionals to ensure high-quality execution of business finance responsibilities Required Qualifications - 2 to 6 years of experience in FP&A, Business Finance, or Commercial Finance roles - Sound knowledge of accounting principles, financial planning, forecasting, and business partnering - Expertise in budgeting, variance analysis, financial modeling, and management reporting - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven stakeholder management ability - Experience in pricing, deal evaluation, profitability analysis, and revenue management - Demonstrated ability to drive finance transformation and process automation initiatives - Exposure to multi-currency and international financial operations - Prior experience in IT Services, GCC, KPO, or BPO environments is preferred - Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills - Any graduate degree; advanced finance qualifications are an added advantage Why Join Us Cognizant is a global leader in IT services and consulting, offering finance professionals a high-impact environment with real business ownership and career advancement opportunities.
