Billing Manager

Role Overview Databricks is seeking a dedicated Billing Manager to join our financial operations team in Bengaluru as an individual contributor. In this role, you will resolve billing and collections issues, oversee complex customer invoicing, and drive process optimization across our systems. You will play a key part in ensuring a seamless billing experience for customers while supporting a fast-paced, growing organization. Key Responsibilities - Oversee accurate and timely processing of recurring subscriptions, usage-based, and professional service billings. - Investigate and resolve complex billing disputes and inquiries escalated through the Salesforce queue. - Drive process optimization and automation initiatives across ERP, CRM, and internal billing systems. - Perform critical month-end close activities, including Accounts Receivable roll-forwards and account reconciliations. - Manage customer and vendor portals including invoice uploads against purchase orders. - Maintain comprehensive documentation of billing controls, policies, and standard operating procedures. - Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Deal Desk, IT, and Engineering to resolve billing inquiries. Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. - 10+ years of progressive experience in SaaS billing, accounts receivable, or financial operations. - Deep understanding of usage-based and subscription billing models and global compliance standards. - Strong systems expertise in ERPs (like NetSuite or SAP), Salesforce, and spreadsheet analysis. - Experience with customer portals such as Ariba or Coupa, and PO-backed invoicing. - Outstanding analytical skills with high attention to detail and strong communication abilities.
