Backend Developer

Role Overview NeuralGarage is seeking a talented Backend Developer to join our core engineering team in Bengaluru. You will design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems capable of processing large-scale video, audio, and AI workloads. By leveraging Python, FastAPI, and Redis, you will build scalable RESTful APIs and asynchronous workflow engines that power our next-generation media platforms. Key Responsibilities - Architect, build, and optimize RESTful APIs using FastAPI and Python - Develop features supporting complex video processing, audio dubbing, and AI workflows - Design, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL database schemas, indexes, and migrations - Implement asynchronous task queues and event-driven workflows using Redis and background workers - Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, QA, and machine learning teams to ship high-quality features - Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance and database query efficiency Required Qualifications - Two to three years of experience in backend development using Python and distributed systems - Proven hands-on experience with FastAPI, Django, Flask, or similar Python frameworks - Strong understanding of relational databases, schema design, and SQL optimization using PostgreSQL - Familiarity with Redis caching and asynchronous background job processing frameworks - Experience working with containerized environments using Docker and cloud services like AWS Why Join Us At NeuralGarage, you will work at the intersection of generative AI and media processing, solving challenging software engineering problems. - 2 to 3 years of Python backend development experience - Solid experience with FastAPI, Django, or Flask frameworks - Strong SQL and database design skills in PostgreSQL - Familiarity with Redis, background jobs, and Docker - Basic knowledge of AWS cloud services - Experience with video and audio tools like FFmpeg is a plus
