Back End Developer

Role Overview Teamware Solutions is looking for a skilled Back End Developer to join their product engineering team in Bengaluru. In this full-time associate-level role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining production-grade backend APIs that power UI interfaces and system integrations. You will work within cross-functional pods and take end-to-end ownership of API delivery across the platform. Key Responsibilities - Design and build robust REST and GraphQL backend APIs that support both frontend and system-level integrations - Own API contracts using OpenAPI and Swagger, manage endpoint versioning, and ensure backward compatibility - Implement business logic, validation, error handling, and consistent API response patterns - Optimize APIs for performance, scalability, and reliability including support for asynchronous and long-running processes - Implement secure access patterns using OAuth2, JWT, and RBAC or claims-based authorization - Integrate with Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) and enforce secure token handling throughout the stack - Apply security controls via Azure API Management policies including rate limiting, authentication, routing, and transformation - Build APIs backed by SQL data sources and maintain clean separation between domain logic and data persistence - Configure and manage Azure Data API Builder (DAB) to expose secure CRUD APIs over SQL sources behind APIM - Handle schema and endpoint versioning, environment configuration, and troubleshoot DAB runtime behavior - Produce clean logging and telemetry and support monitoring using App Insights and Azure Monitor - Participate in incident triage, root cause analysis, and ongoing improvement initiatives - Contribute to code reviews, engineering standards documentation, and technical debt management - Collaborate with product owners, front-end developers, QA, DevOps, and data teams on API-first delivery Required Qualifications - Strong hands-on experience building production-grade APIs in product team environments - Solid understanding of API design principles, versioning strategies, and security best practices - Proficiency with .NET APIs or equivalent backend frameworks - Working knowledge of Azure API Management, REST, and GraphQL - Experience integrating with Azure identity services and monitoring tools - Familiarity with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices - Strong preference for candidates with experience in Azure Data API Builder configuration, authorization patterns, and runtime troubleshooting - Pragmatic engineering approach with a focus on reliability, performance, and long-term maintainability Why Join Us Teamware Solutions offers a collaborative product engineering environment where you will work on scalable, platform-native solutions with end-to-end feature ownership.
