Azure Data Engineer

Role Overview Neoware Technology Solutions, a recognised leader in AIM Research's PeMa Quadrant for Top Data Engineering Service Providers 2026, is looking for an experienced Azure Data Engineer to join its expanding team in Chennai or Bangalore. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade data engineering solutions on the Azure platform, working across data warehouse, data lake, and lakehouse architectures. You will collaborate closely with architects, AI specialists, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, governed, and AI-ready data platforms for large enterprise clients. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and optimise end-to-end data engineering solutions on Microsoft Azure for enterprise customers - Build and maintain robust data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, PySpark, and Spark Scala - Implement and manage Azure services including Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Event Hub, Azure Stream Analytics, and Azure Data Lake Storage - Develop streaming data pipelines to support near real-time analytics requirements - Apply data governance principles to ensure data quality, lineage, and compliance across platforms - Manage source code and deployments using Git and CI/CD pipelines as part of DevOps best practices - Contribute to both greenfield data platform implementations and modernisation projects using proven engineering accelerators Required Qualifications - 4 or more years of hands-on experience in data engineering solution design, development, and implementation - Strong proficiency in SQL development including performance tuning and query optimisation - Solid programming skills in Python and experience with PySpark or Spark Scala for pipeline development - Practical experience with Azure Data Factory including Data Flow development - Familiarity with at least one NoSQL database technology - Good understanding of modern data architecture patterns and data governance concepts - Experience with Git for version control and CI/CD pipeline implementation - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills - Azure Data Engineering certifications are a plus - Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service, Container Apps, API Management, or Power BI is an advantage Why Join Us This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-impact data platform projects that drive analytics and AI-powered decision-making for enterprise clients.
