Automation Engineer

Role Overview Dentsu is looking for a skilled Automation Engineer to join their project team in Bengaluru. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the Lead Automation Engineer to identify and implement process improvement initiatives across enterprise-scale automation programs. This is a full-time permanent role suited for professionals with strong hands-on RPA and AI automation expertise. Key Responsibilities - Work across all stages of the SDLC including requirement gathering, analysis, development, and testing of automation bots - Design future-state components, get them reviewed, and obtain sign-off from the Solution Architect - Automate business processes using selected tools based on approved design specifications - Conduct Proof of Concepts and feasibility analyses for proposed automation solutions - Translate business and technical requirements into detailed technical design documents - Identify functional and non-functional system requirements by analysing business needs - Participate in peer code reviews ensuring adherence to design standards - Collaborate with Solution Architects on complex automation and agent orchestration designs - Build and integrate AI-powered automation solutions using UiPath AI Center, Document Understanding, and cognitive workflows Required Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical or related field - 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in RPA and automation engineering - Strong hands-on experience with UiPath across the full RPA lifecycle including design, development, testing, deployment, and support - Practical experience with REFramework and building scalable, reusable automation components - Solid understanding of Agentic Automation concepts including Copilot agents, agent orchestration, and human-in-the-loop patterns - VBA knowledge is mandatory - Good understanding of SQL databases, queries, and data handling for automation use cases - Prior experience in POCs, feasibility analysis, and solution design reviews - Exposure to Finance and Accounting processes and enterprise automation programs - Working knowledge of Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) is an added advantage - Programming knowledge in Python for scripting, APIs, and AI integrations is an added advantage - Orchestrator knowledge is a plus Why Join Us Dentsu is a globally recognised brand offering an intellectually stimulating environment where you can work on cutting-edge automation and AI technologies.
