Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION – SAFETY OFFICER
Safety Management

Implement the company's EHS policies, procedures and safety standards at the plant.
Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
Carry out Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) and recommend appropriate control measures.
Monitor compliance with safety procedures across production, maintenance, warehouse, utility and other plant areas.
Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by employees and contract workers.
Conduct safety audits and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
- Statutory Compliance.
Ensure compliance with applicable provisions of the Factories Act/Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions requirements, applicable state rules
- Implement and monitor the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system.
- Incident Investigation.
- Emergency Preparedness.
- Safety Training & Awareness.
- Contractor, Machine & Workplace Safety Management.
