Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Role Overview Impetus is looking for a skilled Artificial Intelligence Engineer to join their growing team in Chennai. In this mid-senior role, you will be responsible for designing and deploying cutting-edge Generative AI applications on Google Cloud Platform, working closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable, production-ready AI solutions. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and deploy Generative AI applications using Python and Google Cloud Platform services - Build scalable AI solutions using GCP tools such as Vertex AI, Generative AI APIs, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, and Google Kubernetes Engine - Develop and optimize prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation workflows, and LLM-powered applications - Collaborate with Product Managers, Data Scientists, Architects, and Engineering teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions - Develop and integrate APIs and microservices to enable seamless interaction between AI models and enterprise applications - Fine-tune, evaluate, and optimize Large Language Models and Generative AI workflows for production environments - Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions - Troubleshoot, monitor, and continuously improve deployed GenAI applications - Stay up to date with advancements in Generative AI, Agentic AI, multimodal AI, and emerging technologies - Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and implementation guidelines Required Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field - 3.5 or more years of software development experience with Python - Hands-on experience developing and deploying AI or ML or Generative AI solutions on GCP - Experience working with production-grade cloud applications and distributed systems Why Join Us Impetus offers a collaborative and innovation-driven environment where you can work on some of the most advanced AI technologies shaping the future.
