Apprentice Epic Beaker Analyst

Role Overview OCHIN is looking for an Apprentice Epic Beaker Analyst to join its Epic Operations Team in a fully remote capacity. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with a background in laboratory operations or healthcare IT who are eager to build expertise in Epic EHR systems and clinical application support. The selected candidate will work under the guidance of a Senior Revenue Cycle Analyst mentor, focusing on configuration, troubleshooting, and workflow solutions for OCHIN collaborative members. Key Responsibilities - Serve as the first point of contact for OCHIN member organizations to research, triage, and resolve application-related issues across Epic modules - Meet defined Service Level Agreements by managing Help Desk tickets, inbound calls, and live chat interactions efficiently - Perform routine build and configuration tasks in Epic and related products as directed by the senior mentor - Document build specifications, team processes, and complex clinical workflows for reference and training purposes - Provide workflow solutions and conduct hands-on training to help users understand system functionality - Support Electronic Health Record Support Analysts at partner organizations when needed - Complete all other duties assigned by the team Required Qualifications - Experience in an operational laboratory setting as a Laboratory Technologist or Technician is required - Must obtain Epic Care Ambulatory Proficiency and Epic Beaker Proficiency within the first 90 days of joining - Completion of an OCHIN workforce training program or equivalent experience is preferred - Prior Epic proficiency or demonstrated expertise in a clinical application area is strongly preferred - Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills - Basic understanding of healthcare operations and Electronic Health Record systems - High computer literacy with a willingness to learn new tools and platforms - Ability to work independently from a distraction-free home office with high-speed internet - All candidates must complete a 50-60 minute competency assessment prior to the team interview stage Why Join Us OCHIN is a mission-driven, 100 percent remote organisation committed to improving healthcare delivery for underserved communities across the United States.
