Application Testing Engineer - QA

Role Overview Zensar Technologies is looking for a motivated QA Engineer to join its Chennai team and contribute to the testing of a sophisticated, integration-driven business platform built around Salesforce. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong manual testing fundamentals who is eager to grow into automation testing with the support of an established automation team. You will collaborate closely with business, development, and automation teams to ensure the quality and stability of enterprise-grade digital solutions. Key Responsibilities - Perform end-to-end functional and manual testing of Salesforce-based applications - Design and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test data to validate business workflows - Identify, document, and track defects in collaboration with development teams - Validate data movement and integration flows between Salesforce and connected systems - Conduct system integration testing (SIT) post individual QA cycles - Work alongside the automation team to support test execution and gradually contribute to automation initiatives - Learn and adopt Playwright with Python for future automation contributions - Participate in sprint ceremonies, defect triage sessions, and status discussions - Maintain high-quality testing documentation and QA artefacts Required Qualifications - Hands-on experience in manual and functional testing - Solid grasp of QA fundamentals including test design and defect lifecycle management - Exposure to or experience with Salesforce testing - Strong logical, analytical, and problem-solving skills - Good written and verbal communication abilities - Willingness to transition from manual to automation testing over time Why Join Us Zensar Technologies, part of the $4.8 billion RPG Group, is a globally recognised digital solutions company serving over 130 leading enterprises across 30+ locations worldwide. - Strong manual and functional testing experience - Understanding of QA fundamentals including test design and defect lifecycle - Exposure to Salesforce testing - Strong analytical and logical thinking skills - Good communication and collaboration skills - Knowledge of Playwright, Python, or JavaScript is a plus - Familiarity with automation frameworks is an advantage - Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps is preferred - Experience testing integration-heavy enterprise systems is a plus
