Accounts Receivable Specialist

Role Overview ApplyBoard is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Finance team in Gurugram. In this role, you will support our school partners and international students with billing, collections, and payment operations. Key Responsibilities - Process incoming payments including wire transfers, deposits, and other payment methods. - Post and reconcile transactions, including deposits, refunds, returned payments, and chargebacks. - Manage accounts receivable balances and conduct professional collections outreach on past-due accounts. - Advise students and institutional partners on available payment options to resolve balances. - Monitor and maintain accurate account records, ensuring timely database updates. - Support refund processing, account adjustments, and resolve discrepancies with internal teams. - Respond to financial inquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner. - Assist with reporting and documentation to support compliance and audit requirements. Required Qualifications - Two or more years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or customer-facing finance roles. - Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive financial conversations. - High attention to detail and accuracy in posting and reconciling financial transactions. - Strong communication and organizational skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
