Accounting Services Associate II

As an Accounting Services Associate II based in Kochi, you will be an integral part of the finance operations team, contributing to accurate financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement in a collaborative work environment. Key Responsibilities - Examine, prepare, and maintain statutory accounts, financial statements, and regulatory reports in line with applicable standards - Manage and update general ledger entries, consolidation journal entries, and inter-company transaction eliminations - Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, verify entries, and prepare detailed reconciliations to detect discrepancies or fraud - Handle vendor invoice processing, respond to vendor queries, and evaluate accounts payable policies and procedures - Prepare and disburse payroll, payroll taxes, employee expense reimbursements, and benefit payments with accurate recordkeeping - Conduct research on the impact of proposed changes to accounting rules and communicate updated processes to the relevant teams - Coordinate XBRL data tagging for regulatory reporting and apply both standard and customised taxonomies for financial statements - Produce expense analyses, cost reduction recommendations, and progress reports for management and external stakeholders - Monitor compliance with government regulations, professional standards, and internal organisational policies - Analyse capital budget requests and support ongoing cost management initiatives to improve profitability Required Qualifications - Any graduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline - Vocational training, certifications, or equivalent hands-on experience in accounting standards and regulatory reporting - Demonstrated knowledge of general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and financial reconciliation - Familiarity with XBRL tagging, financial statement preparation, and compliance reporting - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work within established procedures under moderate supervision - Effective communication and interpersonal skills for exchanging information across teams Why Join Us At Conduent, individuality is noticed and valued every day, offering you a genuine opportunity to thrive professionally while making a meaningful impact.
