Accounting Services Associate II

Role Overview Conduent is looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Services Associate II to join its Finance and Accounting team in Kochi. This role is suited for individuals with vocational training or relevant certifications in accounting who can work effectively within established procedures and deliver high-quality financial support. The position involves moderate supervision and offers an excellent opportunity to grow your accounting skills within a leading BPM organisation. Key Responsibilities - Prepare and maintain statutory accounts, financial statements, general ledger entries, and management reports - Conduct research on changes in accounting rules and implement updated processes to ensure ongoing compliance with accounting standards - Manage accounts payable and receivable functions including vendor invoice processing, reconciliations, and fraud detection - Handle payroll disbursements, payroll tax payments, employee expense reimbursements, and benefit payments - Prepare consolidation journal entries and eliminate inter-company transactions across divisional and subsidiary accounts - Coordinate XBRL data tagging and apply standard and custom taxonomies for regulatory financial reporting - Analyse capital budget requests and produce expense analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities - Generate progress reports and presentations for management and external stakeholders - Perform record keeping for shareholder accounts, dividend payments, and tax reporting - Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements for greater operational efficiency Required Qualifications - Any undergraduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant field - Vocational training, certifications, or equivalent practical experience in accounting - Working knowledge of accounting standards, regulatory reporting, and general ledger management - Familiarity with accounts payable and receivable processes, payroll functions, and journal entries - Ability to self-manage workload and timelines with moderate supervision - Strong communication skills for effective exchange of information across teams Why Join Us Conduent is a globally recognised business process services company that offers a structured and supportive work environment where you can develop specialised accounting skills.
