Accounting Services Associate II

Role Overview Conduent is looking for an Accounting Services Associate II to join its Finance and Accounting team in Kochi. This role is suited for professionals with foundational to mid-level accounting skills who can handle a wide range of financial operations within a structured and process-driven environment. The position requires vocational training or relevant certifications in accounting, and involves working with moderate supervision while self-managing day-to-day workloads. Key Responsibilities - Examine, prepare, and maintain statutory accounts, financial statements, and management reports including general ledger and regulatory reports - Conduct in-depth research on evolving accounting rules and communicate process changes to ensure compliance with updated accounting standards - Manage accounts payable and receivable functions including processing vendor invoices, responding to vendor queries, and verifying transaction entries - Prepare and deliver customer billing for low-volume accounts and address related queries in a timely manner - Process employee expense reimbursement requests and disburse payroll, payroll taxes, and employee benefit payments - Prepare payroll expenditure reports and monitor documentation of benefit payments - Analyze capital budget requests and develop cost reduction programs to improve organizational profitability - Review fixed and variable unit expenses and produce detailed expense analyses for management - Prepare consolidation journal entries, eliminate intercompany transactions, and consolidate divisional and subsidiary financial accounts - Coordinate and review XBRL data tagging for regulatory reporting ensuring accuracy and consistency in financial disclosures - Perform record keeping for shareholder accounts including dividend payments and tax reporting, and respond to shareholder inquiries - Ensure all reports and disclosures comply with applicable government regulations and organizational policies Required Qualifications - Any undergraduate or postgraduate degree from a recognized institution - Vocational training, certifications, or equivalent experience in accounting standards and regulatory reporting - Developed knowledge of accounting processes, procedures, and financial systems - Hands-on experience with general ledger management, journal entries, accounts payable, payroll, and record keeping - Strong research skills related to financial statements and accounting rule changes - Ability to work within established procedures with moderate supervision - Effective communication and interpersonal skills for exchanging information across teams Why Join Us Conduent offers a stable and process-oriented work environment where you can grow your accounting expertise across diverse financial functions.
