Accountant

Role Overview Varel Energy Solutions (VES) is one of the world's largest independent manufacturers and suppliers of downhole drilling and completions products to the global energy sector. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our Faridabad team. This role is integral to supporting financial operations, statutory compliance, and reporting activities in alignment with IND AS and IFRS standards. Key Responsibilities - Prepare monthly revenue MIS reports, profitability analyses, and performance reports segmented by product and customer - Ensure full compliance with IND AS and IFRS requirements for revenue recognition and financial reporting - Validate freight invoices, maintain freight rate masters, and post necessary accruals - Analyse freight cost variances and contribute to route optimisation initiatives - Process vendor invoices through 3-way matching and ensure GST and TDS compliance - Follow up on customer invoices to support timely collections and improve DSO performance - Manage fixed asset accounting covering asset booking, capitalisation, and reconciliation between the FA register and General Ledger - Ensure accurate depreciation postings and proper accounting treatment for asset disposals - Handle payroll inputs, processing, and statutory filings including PF, ESI, PT, and TDS - Ensure compliance with labour laws, contractor audits, and all statutory obligations - Support customs and export compliance activities including HSN classification and documentation - Compute and track export incentives such as RoDTEP and GST refunds - Validate Incoterms in contracts and shipping documents to mitigate commercial and compliance risks - Collaborate with cross-functional teams in finance, logistics, and operations to drive process efficiency - Maintain organised financial documentation to ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance Required Qualifications - CA, CMA, or MBA in Finance, or B.Com with specialisation in Accounting or Taxation - Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and statutory compliance frameworks - Working knowledge of export incentives, payroll compliance, and trade finance practices - Familiarity with IND AS, IFRS, and Indian tax regulations including GST and TDS - Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel for financial reporting and analysis Why Join Us At Varel Energy Solutions, you will be part of a dynamic and fast-paced global organisation that values its people and invests in their professional growth.
