Senior Field Service Engineer

I. Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and proactive Sr. Field Service Engineer to manage installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of factory machinery and equipment in semiconductor manufacturing fabs. The role involves working closely with original equipment makers and fab operations to ensure maximum uptime, operational efficiency, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Preventive Maintenance (PM): ● Execute all scheduled preventive maintenance activities as per OEM manuals and maintenance schedules. ● Ensure timely servicing of machines to avoid breakdowns and extend equipment life. ● Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and compliance. 2. Corrective Maintenance: ● Perform immediate diagnosis and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues. ● Carry out repairs and ensure minimal downtime of machinery. ● Coordinate with OEMs or vendors for complex technical issues when required. 3. Performance Monitoring: ● Conduct daily machine walkthroughs and inspections across the factory floor. ● Monitor equipment performance using real-time data logging and analysis. ● Identify potential risks and “near-miss” failures and take proactive corrective actions. 4. Inventory Management: ● Manage on-site spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components. ● Maintain proper documentation and tracking of spare parts usage. ● Coordinate procurement to replenish stock in a timely manner. 5. Operator Training: ● Provide on-the-spot training and guidance to machine operators. ● Ensure equipment is used within defined operational parameters. ● Promote best practices for safe and efficient machine handling.
