About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Murex specialist to join our Collateral Management technology team. This role sits at the intersection of business and technology, translating complex collateral and margining requirements into robust Murex MX.3 solutions. You'll work closely with front office, risk, operations, and IT teams to design, configure, and deliver functionality that keeps our collateral processes efficient, compliant, and future-ready.
What You'll Do
- Act as the functional lead for Murex MX.3 initiatives, with a primary focus on the Collateral Management module
- Gather and translate business requirements from trading, risk, and operations stakeholders into functional specifications and system configurations
- Support the full delivery lifecycle — from design and build through UAT, regression testing, and go-live
- Advise on margin and exposure workflows spanning Initial Margin, Variation Margin, CSA/ISDA terms, SIMM calculations, haircuts, and eligibility schedules
- Apply product knowledge across OTC derivatives, FX, Fixed Income, Repo, and Securities Financing Transactions to ensure collateral logic reflects real trading behavior
- Partner with regulatory and compliance teams to keep collateral processes aligned with Uncleared Margin Rules (UMR), BCBS-IOSCO standards, and Basel III requirements
- Contribute to integrations linking Murex with third-party margining platforms (e.g., AcadiaSoft, TriResolve), SWIFT messaging, custodian banks, and downstream settlement systems
- Write and troubleshoot SQL queries, shell scripts, and MxML flows to support configuration, data investigation, and issue resolution
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to CI/CD and cloud-based delivery pipelines where applicable
- Provide production support and root-cause analysis for collateral and margin-related incidents
What You Bring
- 8+ years working as a Business Analyst or Functional Consultant on Murex MX.3, with substantial time spent in Collateral Management
- Solid grasp of margin call processing, exposure calculation, and collateral optimization concepts
- Practical understanding of derivatives and financing products (OTC, FX, Fixed Income, Repo, SFTs) and how they drive collateral requirements
- Comfort working across the delivery lifecycle: requirements definition, system configuration, test planning/execution, and implementation support
- Technical fluency in SQL, Unix/Linux environments, and MxML
- Familiarity with industry margining utilities such as AcadiaSoft or TriResolve
- Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks impacting collateral — UMR, BCBS-IOSCO, Basel III
- Exposure to Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and cloud infrastructure
- Prior experience connecting Murex to SWIFT networks, custodians, or settlement platforms is a strong plus
- Scripting or development experience in Python or Java is a plus
