• Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Logistics Specialist to manage and coordinate the movement of goods and materials from key suppliers to manufacturing sites. In this role, you will ensure inbound transportation operations are executed efficiently, cost-effectively, and with a high level of service. You will collaborate closely with carriers, suppliers, procurement teams, global logistics partners, and operational stakeholders to optimize transportation performance, improve service levels, and support supply chain excellence within a technology company serving the Utilities & Energy sector.

Duties & Responsibilities

• :

• Plan, coordinate, and execute inbound transportation activities, including carrier management, shipment scheduling, delivery planning, and transportation tracking.

• Build and maintain effective relationships with carriers, suppliers, and logistics partners to ensure dependable and customer-centric service.

• Collaborate with procurement, global logistics, manufacturing, and site operations teams to align transportation activities with broader supply chain objectives.

• Communicate proactively with carriers and suppliers to resolve shipment issues, mitigate risks, and ensure timely delivery of materials.

• Monitor transportation performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), identify improvement opportunities, and drive corrective actions.

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of transportation-related documentation, including purchase orders, bills of lading, proof of delivery (POD), customs documentation, and shipping records.

• Support transportation budget management, cost control initiatives, and forecasting activities.

• Assist with customs compliance and international shipping requirements to ensure smooth material movement.

• Analyze transportation trends, carrier performance, and operational data to support data-driven decision-making.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance transportation efficiency, service levels, compliance, and cost performance.

• Demonstrate accountability for transportation execution and operational results while maintaining service excellence.

• Collaborate across cross-functional teams to support agile supply chain operations and deliver innovative logistics solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• :

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in inbound transportation management, logistics, supply chain operations, or a related field.

• In-depth knowledge of transportation modes, carrier operations, freight management, and transportation regulations.

• Knowledge of international movement of materials, including Incoterms, HTS Codes, Tariffs, and Customs regulations.

• Experience supporting US Import and Export activities.

• Proficiency in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and other relevant logistics software platforms.

• Experience managing transportation-related documentation and compliance requirements.

• Strong understanding of global logistics, freight forwarding, and supplier transportation processes.

• Ability to analyze transportation and operational data to identify trends and drive improvements.

• Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Experience leading end-to-end transportation activities within a Supply Chain or Logistics Center of Excellence (COE).

• Experience supporting global manufacturing, distribution, or technology organizations.

• Knowledge of international trade compliance, customs brokerage, and duty optimization processes.

• Familiarity with transportation analytics, reporting tools, and dashboard development.

• Experience working with Utilities, Energy, Industrial, or Technology-sector supply chains.

• Exposure to process automation, continuous improvement methodologies, or Lean initiatives.

• Professional certifications in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, or related disciplines.

• Experience identifying and implementing innovative solutions to improve transportation efficiency and customer service.

• Work Model: Hybrid. Employees are required to work from the office every Monday and Tuesday, with additional in-office days as needed to support business priorities, team collaboration, and operational requirements.

• Availability: 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM IST
