Layout Artist – Mid to Senior

We are looking for a skilled Layout Artist with 4+ years of

experience

to join our VFX team. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of 3D layout, camera composition, staging, and cinematic workflows, with the ability to deliver high-quality, production-ready work within project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Create 3D layouts, camera setups, and scene compositions based on storyboards, concept art, and project requirements. Set up accurate camera angles, framing, focal lengths, and camera movements. Work closely with VFX Supervisors, Layout Supervisors, Animation, Modeling, Matchmove, and Production teams. Interpret storyboards, live-action plates, camera data, and reference material to create accurate layouts. Ensure proper scale, perspective, continuity, and spatial relationships across shots. Prepare clean and organized production-ready scenes following studio pipeline standards. Incorporate feedback from supervisors and make required revisions within timelines. Identify and resolve camera, scene, and layout-related issues during production. Maintain consistency across shots and sequences. Support junior artists and provide guidance when required. Deliver assigned shots within production schedules while maintaining quality standards.

Requirements

4+ years of professional

experience

in VFX Layout, preferably in feature films, OTT, episodic, or high-end VFX projects. Strong understanding of cinematography, camera composition, perspective, lensing, and staging. Good proficiency in Autodesk Maya and 3D layout workflows. Understanding of Matchmove, Animation, Modeling, and Environment workflows. Ability to work with live-action plates, camera data, and reference material. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with production teams. Good understanding of VFX production pipelines and delivery requirements. Ability to manage multiple shots and meet production deadlines.
