Job Description
Role Summary We are seeking a passionate and experienced Individuals & Societies Educator to inspire students to understand the complex relationships between people, societies, cultures, economies, politics, and the environment. The educator will facilitate inquiry-based, student-centred learning aligned with the IB philosophy and curriculum framework.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Individuals & Societies lessons using inquiry-based and concept-driven approaches. Teach relevant areas such as History, Geography, Economics, Global Politics, Sociology, and related social sciences, as appropriate to the programme. Develop unit plans, learning experiences, assessments, and resources aligned with IB curriculum requirements. Encourage critical thinking, research, communication, collaboration, and intercultural understanding. Integrate local and global perspectives and contemporary issues into classroom learning. Use a range of formative and summative assessment strategies to monitor and support student progress. Provide timely, constructive feedback and maintain accurate records of student achievement. Support students in developing research, source analysis, academic writing, and presentation skills. Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and learning

– Individuals & Societies Educator Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in History, Geography, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, or a related field.
Experience:
4–5 years of teaching
experience
in Individuals & Societies, Humanities, Social Sciences, or related subjects. IB
Experience:
Prior
experience
with IB MYP and/or DP is preferred; IB training/certification will be an advantage. Subject Knowledge: Strong understanding of History, Geography, Economics, Global Politics, and contemporary social issues. Teaching Approach: Demonstrated ability to use inquiry-based, concept-driven, student-centred, and experiential learning approaches.
