Position: GCP Architect

Location: Nagpur/Pune/Chennai/Bangalore

Type of Employement: Full-Time

Purpose of the Position:

The GCP Architect will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform while providing technical leadership across the project lifecycle. The role will partner closely with engineering teams to define solution architecture, develop high-level and detailed designs, establish best practices, and ensure successful implementation of cloud-native solutions that align with business and technology objectives.

Key Result Areas and Activities:

• Cloud Architecture & Solution Design
  • Design end-to-end cloud architectures leveraging GCP services and industry best practices.
  • Develop High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), and architecture roadmaps.
  • Ensure solutions meet scalability, reliability, security, and performance requirements.
• Technical Leadership & Governance
  • Provide architectural guidance to development and delivery teams.
  • Conduct design reviews and ensure adherence to defined technology standards.
  • Drive technical decision-making across project phases.
• Solution Delivery Support
  • Partner with engineering teams throughout development, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Support implementation planning and resolution of complex technical challenges.
  • Ensure architecture alignment during solution build and deployment.
• Cloud Security, Performance & Optimization
  • Define cloud security controls, governance standards, and operational best practices.
  • Drive performance tuning, availability, reliability, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Establish monitoring and observability frameworks.
• Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, and engineering leaders.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Communicate architectural vision, risks, and recommendations to project stakeholders.

Essential Skills:

• Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) architecture and solution design.
• Experience with GCP services including BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Composer, and GKE.
• Proven experience creating architecture designs, HLDs, LLDs, and technical solution documents.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native application development and modern data platforms.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience leading technical teams and guiding solution implementation in enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of multi-cloud environments such as AWS and Azure.

Desired Skills:

• Experience in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare or Industrial Manufacturing
• Exposure to data modernization and cloud migration programs.
• Experience with Vertex AI, AI/ML, or advanced analytics solutions on GCP.
• Google Cloud Professional Architect or relevant GCP certifications.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of overall IT experience with 4+ years in cloud architecture roles.
• Proven experience leading enterprise-scale cloud transformation, modernization, or migration initiatives.
• Experience working closely with development teams across the software delivery lifecycle.
