Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Role: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer Location: Chennai - Hybrid (3 days in Office per week) Role Description

We are looking for an IC25 Automation Architect to lead the design and evolution of our next-generation, AI-native Quality Engineering automation ecosystem . This role will focus on building scalable, future-ready automation solutions across Web, Mobile, API, and Contract Testing , while leveraging AI and Agentic AI to transform end-to-end test engineering.

The architect will define the technical vision, architecture, frameworks, standards, and reusable solutions using technologies such as Playwright, AI Agentic frameworks, Contract Testing, API automation, and mobile automation . The role requires strong solution-building skills and the ability to convert complex QE challenges into intelligent, scalable, and enterprise-ready automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the architecture and technical roadmap for an AI-native, end-to-end automation framework .

• Design and build scalable Playwright-based Web automation solutions and reusable automation components.

• Architect AI Agentic automation frameworks capable of planning, generating, executing, analyzing, and optimizing tests.

• Design and implement Contract Testing frameworks for modern API and microservices architectures.

• Define automation architecture covering Web, Mobile, API, UI, and backend services .

• Leverage Generative AI, LLMs, AI Agents, and intelligent automation to improve QE productivity and coverage.

• Build reusable frameworks, accelerators, libraries, and reference architectures for enterprise adoption.

• Develop AI-driven solutions for test generation, test maintenance, defect analysis, root-cause analysis, test data generation, and intelligent test execution .

• Establish automation engineering standards, design patterns, coding practices, and governance.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and continuously modernize the QE automation technology stack.

• Partner with QE, Engineering, Architecture, DevOps, and Product teams to drive adoption of the automation platform.

• Mentor senior engineers and architects and provide technical leadership across automation initiatives.

• Drive proof-of-concepts and convert successful innovations into production-ready enterprise solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in Automation Architecture and Quality Engineering .

• Hands-on expertise in Playwright and modern web automation architecture.

• Strong experience with API automation and Contract Testing .

• Experience designing Mobile automation frameworks .

• Strong programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, Python, or similar languages .

• Experience with AI/ML, Generative AI, LLMs, AI Agents, RAG, and Agentic AI architectures .

• Strong understanding of CI/CD, cloud platforms, DevOps, microservices, APIs, and modern application architectures.

• Experience designing scalable enterprise automation frameworks and platforms .

• Strong understanding of test strategy, automation design patterns, framework engineering, and quality engineering practices.

• Excellent problem-solving, architecture, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience building AI-native or AI-assisted QE platforms .

• Experience with Agentic AI frameworks and orchestration patterns.

• Experience integrating LLMs and AI agents with automation tools and enterprise systems.

• Experience with observability, intelligent test analytics, self-healing automation, and autonomous testing.

• Experience driving enterprise-wide automation transformation and technology standardization.
