Summary:

As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves designing and developing tailored software components that integrate seamlessly within larger systems or applications. The role requires continuous collaboration with various teams to ensure that solutions meet evolving business requirements. The work environment is dynamic, often involving iterative development cycles and the application of modern methodologies to create efficient, scalable, and high-quality software products that address specific organizational challenges.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Migration Strategy & Planning —Architecting Apigee X platform including org structure, environment groups, network topology on Google Cloud. Apigee Edge-to-X migration covering assessment, gap analysis, feature parity differences, and rollback strategy.

Security Design & Implementation — Designing security framework covering OAuth 2.0, mTLS, API key management, Google Cloud IAM, service accounts.

Proxy Assessment & Redevelopment — Analyse existing Edge proxies, identify compatibility gaps, and re-architect or redevelop proxies, shared flows, and policy configurations to align with Apigee X standards.

Monitoring & Operational Readiness — Design observability framework using Apigee X analytics, Cloud Monitoring, and Cloud Logging — covering API dashboards, alerting, SLA tracking, and post-migration runbooks.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Apigee.
• Experience in designing and implementing API management solutions using Apigee platform.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with cloud environments and integration of APIs with cloud services.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize API performance and security.
• Knowledge of scripting and automation to support API lifecycle management.

Additional Information:

• The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Apigee.
• This position is based at our Pune office.
• A 15 years full time education is required.
