Assistant Manager - Estimation

About the Role:

The Assistant Manager – Estimation will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and commercial inputs for aerospace manufacturing programs, supporting RFQs, pricing strategies, and business development initiatives. This role plays a key part in ensuring competitive, profitable and technically feasible quotations.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead technical estimation and manufacturability assessment based on engineering drawing, reading, and GD&T interpretation. Analyze raw material types and forms (forgings, castings, billets, plates, etc.) and define optimal material utilization strategies. Select appropriate manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, assembly, and special processes) based on design and tolerance requirements. Define cutting tool parameters, machining strategy, and cycle time estimation for accurate costing and planning. Develop and evaluate fixturing concepts to ensure dimensional accuracy, repeatability, and process efficiency. Support production planning, RFQs, and cost modeling aligned with customer specifications and delivery targets. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure compliance with aerospace standards and configuration requirements. Location: Hyderabad, India (On-site)

Requirements

Qualifications:

Required: 3–6 years of

experience

in technical estimation / costing / manufacturing commercial roles (aerospace, automotive, defense, or precision manufacturing preferred). Strong capability in engineering, drawing, reading, and GD&T. Hands-on understanding of machining processes and manufacturing fundamentals. Strong analytical and Excel skills. Mandatory: Proven

experience

in Technical Estimation and/or Business Development (BD) within manufacturing. Preferred: Exposure to AS9100 and RFQ/value engineering processes.

Experience

in startup or fast-growing manufacturing environments.
