Accounts Intern

The Accounts Intern will support day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, and compliance activities. This role is designed to give hands-on exposure to real business finance operations, including vendor payments, invoicing, reconciliation, and statutory support.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting in maintaining books of accounts including purchases, sales, expenses, and journal entries. Supporting daily accounting data entry using Zoho Books. Ensuring proper filing and documentation of bills, invoices, and vouchers. Assisting in vendor payment processing and maintaining payment tracking records. Coordinating with internal teams to obtain missing invoices and resolve discrepancies. Supporting bank statement reconciliation and ledger reconciliation activities. Assisting in reconciling vendor and customer accounts. Supporting GST data preparation including purchase, sales, and input tax credit tracking. Assisting in monthly closing processes and audit-related activities. Maintaining records required for statutory and compliance audits.

Requirements

Educational Qualification: Pursuing or recently completed B.Com/M.Com/CA-Inter/MBA (Finance) or equivalent.

Skills

& Competencies: Basic understanding of accounting principles. Working knowledge of MS Excel. Willingness to learn accounting software. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Good verbal and written communication skills.
