The Role
As Product Design Lead, you will lead the design function within the Content Team of Envato, managing a team of 3-4 designers focused on research, UX and design. Our Content Team is dedicated to working closely with a large, global and diverse group of contributors (we call them “Authors”) who earn on our platform through licensing their creative digital assets to Envato’s global customer base. 
 
Reporting to the Chief Content Officer, you are a senior leader amongst a community of designers in the organisation, and an active member of the Content leadership team. You are the voice for internal users of our systems and Authors, advocating for a user centred approach to decision making to achieve a balance between the needs of our internal users and external contributors, and our business goals and company vision. The role and team work collaboratively with technology, operational and commercial stakeholders within the Content Team and across the organisation. 
 
Responsibilities
·         Providing design leadership to your team and within the Content Team, providing design direction across multiple products and projects.
·         Inspiring them to continue moving towards our vision, and supporting them in understanding how products and projects fit together to form a coherent, consistent and delightful experience. 
·         Empowering them with clear direction and objectives and keeping them accountable for results.  
·         Guiding your team to connect the dots on the end to end journey by creating alignment across multiple teams and projects to ensure a consistent experience for our users.
·         Coaching and guiding them in different techniques to understand problems/opportunities, explore ideas, rapidly prototype and validate ideas.
·         Facilitating a collaborative and safe environment for idea generation and feedback.
·         Leading by example through facilitating and leading workshops and 1:1 interviews with stakehold
