Test Automation Engineer (m/f/d)

• About the role:

As a

Test Automation Engineer

in our Quality Assurance ERP team, you’ll help shape reliable and scalable test automation for business-critical ERP processes and integrations. You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of automation quality, identify risks earlier in the development lifecycle and continuously improve how we test and deliver software together with QA, engineering and business colleagues.

 

• About the tech stack:

You’ll primarily work with

Robot Framework and Python

, using

GitHub

for version control and development workflows and

aqua

for test management, documentation and traceability. Depending on the project, you may also work with

API testing, Playwright, CI/CD environments, Java, Microsoft Dynamics

and e-commerce processes.

 

• About your tasks:

• Build and evolve our test automation: Develop reliable and scalable automated test solutions that strengthen coverage across our ERP landscape, while keeping existing test suites effective as applications, interfaces and business processes evolve.

• Embed quality into development workflows: Integrate test automation into GitHub-based development workflows, helping teams identify quality risks earlier and supporting consistent testing throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Create end-to-end traceability: Connect automated testing with test documentation and management, ensuring clear links between requirements, test cases, execution and results.

• Turn test results into improvements: Analyse automated test results and defects, identify quality risks and translate your findings into actionable insights for QA and engineering colleagues.

• Shape better testing practices: Collaborate with QA, developers and business stakeholders to improve automation approaches, maintainability and reliability while ensuring critical ERP processes and integrations are effectively covered.

• About you:

• You bring

hands-on professional experience in software testing and test automation

and are comfortable developing and maintaining automated tests within software development environments.

• You have practical expertise with

Robot Framework and Python

, alongside experience with version control and collaborative development workflows.

• Experience with AI tools and/or a

ISTQB certification or equivalent recognized ISTQB qualification

is a plus.

• You can work professionally in

German and English

and enjoy translating technical quality challenges into practical solutions together with QA, engineering and business colleagues.
