Temp - Playbook Developer, Solution Advisory

• Summary:

Solution Advisory needs a short-term, defined-scope contractor to support the creation of “playbooks” based upon our 6–10 focus-district Solution Advisory engagements.  These engagements would address the following areas:

• State Projections – using i-Ready data and resources to differentiate student instructional supports based on how far they are from the next performance level.
• Coherence to core programs and the instructional side MTSS – aligning Personalized Instruction with core curriculum and classroom instruction.
• Outcome-Based Contracting (OBC) – process for implementing an OBC model with districts
• District priorities – anchoring engagements to districts’ state goals, e.g. CMS Goal 1 in Charlotte Mecklenburg – raise % of K-2 students at/above benchmark in early literacy (DIBELS).

 

• Essential duties/responsibilities:

 

• Meet with IST to identify the structure for the playbook (e.g. Discovery question, process flow, communication templates, progress monitoring checkpoints …)
• Collect and organize resources and artifact produced by Solution Advisory engagements into a single, navigable compendium.
• Convert engagement models and intake documentation (e.g. the Outcome-Based Contracting playbook, coherence/MTSS frameworks) into a standardized national playbook that can be used with future engagements.
• Support the creation and maintenance of i-Ready resource alignment guides mapping i-Ready programs to core curricula and state standards.
• Organize completed models and playbooks into training-ready formats – for potential use at Service Academy or as an/training manual for staff extending their work. 
• Serve as subject-matter resource to Educator Success, Professional Learning and Learning Experience and Readiness (LxR)

• Required Job Skills and Abilities:

 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong organization and systems thinking.
• Understanding of the demands school and district leaders face serving the variable learning needs of the students in their districts’ classes including sub-populations like special education, ELL, and on and off-level students.
• Strong interpersonal and customer centric skills – build trust and dependability.
• Able to work independently, with some direction and collaboratively, in a team environment.
• High attention to detail and ability to follow complicated directions.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical capability.

• Required Education and Experience:

 

• Prior Curriculum Associates Professional Learning experience and a working knowledge of i-Ready programs and content development. 
• Understand educator needs and a strong interest in the problems of practices of districts.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

• Benefits and Pay Range:

Pay – This role’s base pay is $80.00/hr. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws.

Benefits – Temporary and per diem employees who average, and maintain, at least 30 hours of work per week may become eligible for medical coverage, under the Affordable Care Act, after an initial waiting period. Temporary and per-diem employees working more than 20 hours per week are eligible for twelve paid holidays. All temporary and per-diem employees are eligible for accrued sick time.
