Responsibilities
Develop policies Create and implement health and safety policies that protect employees from injury and illness Ensure compliance Monitor compliance with regulations and laws, and ensure employees are trained on them Conduct inspections Perform regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance Investigate incidents Determine the root cause of accidents or environmental breaches, and recommend corrective actions Provide training Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees Report on performance Prepare reports on safety and environmental performance, incidents, and compliance status Stay updated Keep up with emerging safety trends, regulations, and best practices Provide guidance Provide guidance and support to employees and management on safety-related matters
