About the Role

CAI Software is seeking a

Sr Network Engineer

based in Bangalore to join our global IT Infrastructure team.
This role requires a highly skilled network professional with deep expertise in

CheckPoint and Palo Alto technologies

and

enterprise network architecture

, as well as strong understanding of

modern cloud networking and automation practices

.

You will work collaboratively with a distributed, international team responsible for maintaining, improving, and securing the company’s global network infrastructure.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of owning their responsibilities from design through execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure with a focus on

Palo Alto systems and architecture

.

• Manage routing, switching, VPNs, and network segmentation across global offices and cloud environments.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of network operations.
• Collaborate with global IT and Security teams to maintain compliance and best practices.
• Support integration and interconnectivity between

on-premises and cloud environments

(Azure and/or AWS).

• Manage and maintain

firewalls

, primarily

Palo Alto,

and

Checkpoint

systems.

• Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, latency, and connectivity issues.
• Document network architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and automation efforts in networking and infrastructure.
• Ensure network design and operations align with compliance frameworks such as

SOC 2 Type 2

and

ISO 27001

.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Experience: Minimum

5+ years

in enterprise networking, with a focus on architecture and operations.

• Technical Expertise:

  • Advanced knowledge of

Palo Alto

technologies (routing, switching, VPN, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, etc.).

• Strong understanding of

network design principles

and enterprise-level architectures.

• Experience with

Checkpoint, Palo Alto,

and

firewall management

.

• Familiarity with

Azure Networking

,

AWS VPCs

,

site-to-site VPNs

, and

hybrid cloud

connectivity.

• Understanding of

virtualization

,

VMs

, and

Infrastructure as Code

concepts.

• Experience with

network monitoring

,

automation

, and

scripting tools

is a plus.

• Awareness of

security standards

and

compliance frameworks

(SOC 2, ISO 27001).

• Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills in

English

(spoken and written).

• Strong ownership and accountability - able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Organized, analytical thinker with a proactive and innovative mindset.
• Comfortable working in a

remote, global team environment

The job shift will be roughly 8AM-5PM EST to ensure working hours align with the US, though it will be flexible for project work.
