Job Description
Alendei Green RE is scaling its renewable energy portfolio across Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and beyond. As we move from project development to execution at pace, we need someone who thrives at the intersection of policy intelligence, regulatory navigation, and project activation. This role is for someone who reads policy notifications the way a trader reads market data — quickly, precisely, and always with an eye on what it means for us. You will own the end-to-end journey of a project through the regulatory and approval ecosystem, from the first stakeholder interaction to the final clearance that enables ground-breaking. - Continuously track, interpret, and brief internal teams on policy developments from MNRE, CEA, SERCs, DISCOMs, and state nodal agencies across target geographies - Develop a working knowledge of open access frameworks, captive power regulations, RPO norms, PM-KUSUM guidelines, and grid connectivity procedures — and proactively identify windows of opportunity - Own the preparation and submission of all project-level applications, approvals, and statutory documents — connectivity applications, PPAs, land-related clearances, environmental and forest approvals, net metering filings, and more - Build and maintain productive working relationships with officials and decision-makers across state electricity boards, DISCOMs, renewable energy development agencies, and revenue/forest departments - Track the live approval status of every project in the pipeline; escalate blockages early and navigate around them with minimal friction - Structurally use policy provisions, exemptions, and procedural timelines to advance our projects — anticipating objections before they arise - Prepare regulatory due diligence notes and approval roadmaps for new project evaluations and investor-facing documentation - Coordinate with legal counsel, EPC teams, and financial advisors to ensure documentation is airtight and submissions are strategically timed
Requirements
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR - Prior
experience
in a regulatory, project development, or compliance role in the renewable energy, power, or infrastructure sector - Direct exposure to state-level electricity regulatory processes — GERC, MSERC, RERC, or equivalents - Strong command over project documentation — clarity of language, attention to detail, ability to work across formats - Proven ability to get things done inside bureaucratic systems — patient when needed, persistent always - Comfortable operating across multiple states simultaneously with a structured tracking approach - Fluency in English, Gujarati and Hindi; working knowledge of Marathi is a strong advantage YOU WILL STAND OUT IF YOU HAVE - Hands-on
experience
navigating open access or captive power project approvals from end to end - Deep familiarity with CEIG, STU/CTU connectivity norms, or ISTS regulations -
Experience
preparing regulatory filings, petitions, or tariff-related submissions for SERCs - An existing professional network within relevant state agencies and utilities - Background in electrical engineering, law, public policy, or energy management This is not a desk job.
