Solutions Architecture - Advisor II

• About your role:
  You will join Fiserv’s AI Engineering Productivity team, which builds internal platforms and tools that apply AI to improve how software is designed, developed, tested, deployed, and operated across the enterprise. In this role, you will define the end-to-end architecture for AI-powered developer tooling and agentic platforms, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, auditable, and aligned with the needs of a regulated financial services environment. You will work across engineering, infrastructure, security, compliance, and business stakeholders to turn AI productivity goals into practical platform capabilities and standards.

• What you’ll do:

• Define and own end-to-end architecture across data, model, application, integration, orchestration, and infrastructure layers for AI-powered developer tooling and agentic platforms.
• Establish technical vision, reference architectures, architectural standards, and architecture decision records to guide engineering delivery.
• Design LLM-based and agentic systems, including model selection, retrieval-augmented generation, tool and function calling, orchestration patterns, evaluation approaches, and guardrail controls.
• Architect solutions for scalability, resilience, latency, observability, disaster recovery, and cost efficiency in enterprise production environments.
• Ensure architecture aligns with secure-by-design principles, privacy requirements, identity and access controls, auditability, and regulatory expectations for financial services.
• Evaluate AI models, frameworks, vendors, and platform integration patterns to support enterprise adoption and long-term maintainability.
• Review solution designs and implementation approaches to ensure engineering execution remains aligned to architecture standards and intended outcomes.
• Prototype and validate architecture patterns using AI tooling and development frameworks to accelerate delivery and establish practical usage standards for teams.
• Partner with business, engineering, security, compliance, and infrastructure stakeholders to align solutions with enterprise priorities and constraints.

• Experience you’ll need to have:

• 6+ years of experience in solution architecture across application, data, integration, and infrastructure domains.
• 6+ years of experience in cloud-native architecture using AWS, Azure, or GCP, including microservices, APIs, containers, and distributed systems.
• 6+ years of experience in designing AI and LLM-based systems using retrieval-augmented generation, orchestration workflows, tool calling, model evaluation, and guardrail patterns.
• 6+ years of experience in secure architecture practices including identity and access management, data protection, audit logging, and privacy controls in regulated environments.
• 6+ years of experience in defining non-functional architecture requirements including scalability, resilience, latency, observability, disaster recovery, and cost optimization.
• 6+ years of experience in documenting architecture standards, reference architectures, and architecture decision records for engineering teams.
• 6+ years of experience in prototyping and validating designs using Python, TypeScript, Java, or Go in enterprise software environments.
• 6+ years of equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience

• Experience that would be great to have:

• Experience with financial services platforms supporting payments, settlement, ledgers, risk, compliance, or regulatory reporting.
• Experience with MLOps or LLMOps practices, including model deployment, monitoring, prompt versioning, and regression testing.
• Experience with multi-agent orchestration frameworks and enterprise tool ecosystem integration.
• TOGAF, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud architecture certification.
• Experience presenting architectural trade-offs and governance decisions to senior technology and business stakeholders.
