Solution Consultant
Hyderabad
You will support sales at main customer pursuits by providing specific solution expertise in a defined geographical area. The Solution Consultant is the solution expert for the sales organisation by assisting with delivering outcome-based messaging to customers at executive and management levels. The Solution Consultant has a broad understanding of all related products and delivery offerings from RA, partners and competitors in the designated solution area.
You will report to the Consultant Leader and work in Mumbai, India.
- Be the focal point in the defined geography for the solution(s), of which you have been designated as an expert.
- Participate in account planning and sales strategy focusing on new customer acquisition and existing customer expansion.
- Facilitate and provide training to the sales team on the values and outcomes of specific solution(s).
- Co-operate with the sales team in promoting the solution to all customers with presentations and demonstrations.
- Advise Technology Consultants and sales on proposal generation and validation.
- Assist sales at proposal presentations for executive level customers
- Define and articulate differentiators and values versus competition for the solution. Analyse products, have knowledge of competitor's strategy, further define competitive differentiators.
- Translate competitive solutions into a RA solution that meets customer's expectations.
- Seek out and participate in training opportunities to develop technical skills.
- Provide product gap and development feedback for the solution to appropriate organisations.
- Share insights with peers.
- Focus on opportunities that support Rockwell Automation's strategy.
- Understand business models, organisation, and go-to-market strategy.
- Knowledge of industry strategies, familiarity with outcome-based selling.
- Share industry knowledge of customers based on their important causes at the appropriate role level with all customers
- Keep sales and customer relationship management data up to date in local agreed upon tools such as SFA, optimising by using these tools.
- The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering/technical related field or equivalent experience.
- Value of larger Rockwell Automation application value, without the need to demonstrate individual products with hands-on demonstrations
- Solution and application expertise, and related demonstrated sales experience.
- Fluency in native language and command of English (written and spoken).
- Work with and gain confidence of senior level personnel (internal and external) in a collaborative, matrixed organisation.
- Align and influence critical stakeholders.
- Support customer centricity. Understand the importance of demonstrating concern for satisfying customers. Passionate about developing goals to improve our customer experience.

- The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Proficiency in hands-on engineering
- High level of expertise in Continuous and Batch Process Control which shall include knowledge of multiple ISA standards, practical experience designing and deploying control and electrical systems and solutions, High level of Application Knowledge.
- Practical knowledge of process unit operations and typical automation requirements of such process units
- Experience of the Process industry goals.
- Intermediate level of expertise in MES/Information Solutions, Networks and Services and Solutions, with a basic understanding of automation and electrical devices.
- Intermediate level of Industry Knowledge and Selling Skills.
