Software QA Engineer - 2

• Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for Web UI using frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, WebDriverIO, or similar

- Perform manual and functional testing to validate new UI features, workflows, and edge cases

- Validate form inputs and client-side/server-side validations (formats, required fields, error handling, boundary conditions)

- Verify data accuracy and consistency by ensuring correct retrieval, formatting, and display of backend data in the UI

- Validate data persistence, ensuring data entered via UI is correctly saved and retrievable from backend systems or databases

- Test end-to-end user flows across multiple pages and components, including state changes and navigation

- Collaborate closely with development and product teams to review requirements, clarify acceptance criteria, and identify test scenarios early

- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and monitor execution results

- Log, track, and verify defects using issue-tracking tools, working with developers through resolution and closure

- Contribute to functional, regression, and smoke test coverage, with a focus on automation-first where feasible

- Continuously evaluate and adopt modern testing tools, frameworks, and best practices to improve test effectiveness and efficiency

• Required Skills & Experience:

- 3–5 years of experience in Web UI testing, with a strong emphasis on test automation

- Hands-on experience with UI automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or WebDriverIO

- Good understanding of modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, browser behaviour)

- Experience validating data flow between UI and backend, including input validation, persistence, and display

- Working knowledge of API testing using tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or similar

- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)

- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a quality-first mindset

- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

• Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Hands-on experience with Playwright for modern, reliable UI automation

- Exposure to performance or load testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner

- Experience with cloud-based test execution platforms like BrowserStack or Sauce Labs

- Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility testing

- Exposure to backend systems, databases, or logs for debugging test failures

- Exposure to or interest in security reconnaissance concepts (such as asset discovery, scan results, or data visualization)

- Willingness to learn and test features in a security-focused SaaS platform

3–5 years of experience in Web UI testing, with a strong emphasis on test automation
