Software Development Engineer II (SDE 2) – Frontend/Web

You will build responsive, high-performance web applications and dynamic user interfaces integrated with production AI capabilities. You will translate complex administrative and academic workflows into clean, reusable, and accessible screens, ensuring smooth handling of streaming responses, data-rich views, and reliable performance across devices and networks.

Responsibilities

Build web applications in React, TypeScript and Next.js

Build screens for managing people, permissions, content and records.

Work from a shared design system, and add to it when something is missing.

Handle slow, streaming and failed responses so a screen stays usable.

Make every screen work on a laptop and in a phone browser

Work with the product manager and test screens with the people who use them.

Key Skills

3 to 5 years building web applications, with a degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or a related field.Strong React and TypeScript.Experience with a component library or a design system.Forms, tables, file upload and permission based views.Integrated RESTful APIs and WebSocket connections, implementing resilient state management for asynchronous loading, real-time data streaming, and error handling.Git, pull requests and code review as a daily habit.
