Senior Software Engineer

Morphle Labs is a YC-funded startup by IIT alumni building Medical Devices for cancer diagnostics. We are a team of 50+ highly energetic folks based out of Bangalore. We are aggressive about continuous improvements to our products & software-based workflow is often designed & sold as customizable components.

We have achieved high growth so far in terms of revenue across India (market leader) + USA & a sparse customer base across Europe, Southeast Asia & Middle East.

The Role

Responsible for leading research and development of control firmware for our robotic devices along with our web-based digital pathology viewer interface. Adding to the challenge is the fact that your interfaces will be used by a diverse group of users consisting of AI engineers, data scientists, lab technicians, and medical professionals.

• 2D Map-based imaging platform for visualization of pyramidal images and integrated deep learning algorithms. (check out for examples).
• Modular Web-API-based architecture Built with Django and Angular.
• Low-Level Speed Optimised Scanner Software Built with Java.
• Robust Image Processing pipeline to deliver the best image quality.
• Building Image Based Machine Learning Algorithms with the highest level of accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity to create the most value for healthcare.

In addition to the right technical skills, we stress the right engineering mindset that outweighs knowledge when solving the new-new problems

• Patience to dive deep and Grasping power to digest complex system design (a must-have for building stuff from scratch).
• Tactical debugging when dealing with not-so-trivial and often opaque frameworks.
• Pattern-based thinking enables to derive new frameworks for high-quality code.

Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor, Master or Ph. D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 2+ years of work experience with web frameworks and developing a scalable data-heavy infrastructure.
• Strong algorithmic and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with various stages of development right from the idea stage to prototype to a polished product.
